How we help
What EMDR helps with
EMDR is used for single-incident trauma like car accidents and assaults, as well as childhood trauma, grief, phobias, and PTSD. It's often a strong fit when a memory still triggers intense emotion, panic, or avoidance years later.
What a session looks like
After preparation and building coping skills, you briefly bring a target memory to mind while following a back-and-forth movement or tapping. Sets are short, you stay in control the whole time, and we move at a pace that feels safe. Many people notice the memory feels less charged over a handful of sessions.
EMDR in Spanish
Trauma work is deeply personal. Our bilingual clinicians deliver EMDR in fluent Spanish, so you can process in the language your memories actually live in.

Frequently asked questions
Is EMDR evidence-based?
Yes. EMDR is recognized by major health organizations as an effective treatment for PTSD and trauma, backed by decades of research.
Will I have to describe everything that happened?
No. A key benefit of EMDR is that you don't need to narrate every detail out loud. We focus on reprocessing, not retelling.
Do you offer EMDR in Spanish?
Yes. Our trained bilingual clinicians provide EMDR in Spanish and English, in person in Salt Lake City or online across Utah.
